Gearbox course a hit with wind turbine industry
Well-trained service engineers are in short supply in the wind turbine industry. If the current goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 20 percent before 2020 is to be met, at least 10,000-12,000 wind turbines will have to be erected around the world, every year for the next five years, and neither the wind turbine manufacturers nor the energy companies stand a chance of training all the service engineers and supervisors that will be required in the future....
